Re: My Delcoed Rides
ok finally got it up on chocks to have a good look over it....
once i started it cold it was pretty obvious the exhaust leak was from near the turbo, seems its the pipe below the turbo where it splits off to the wastegate, has cracked the pipe around the weld! thats from the wastegate hitting the ground and being on the end of a 20-30cm pipe with alot of mechanical force!!
aside from that the very end of the left hand chassis rail is slightly bent in towards the centre of the car, its no biggie, but will straighten it none the less, also was mm's off the radiator! and the centre cross support is totally fucked and about 3mm off the bottom off the radiator also!!
very lucky!
so time to start pulling some bits off to get at the problem areas!

Re: My Delcoed Rides
shes all coming together nicely!
shes all sorted other than waiting for a few bits that I painted to dry overnight, and then I just have to panel beat the valance panel straight and paint it then its sorted!!
I took the opportunity to start it before and made sure it still boosted like normal and it does

Re: My Delcoed Rides
lol, don't plan on hitting it again hahahaha!
if they run it again next year i'll have to try and get some sticky tyres for it! i know the front could definitely use them!

Re: My Delcoed Rides
hahaha yeah that's the plan, but I think I can only add another 4-5 psi! .... without changing wastegate springs that is ... and I don't plan to do that at the track!
