Engine conversion. VY engine/gearbox and computer into WB

leave it all wired just like it is for now walk to the engine bay pull the starter relay ad bridge those pins with a bit of wire to crank it over.that will prove the vats is gone without a key in the ignition.you only need the ecu for the conersion none of the other modules unless you plan to convert the dash into the car

The Commodore dash wont be going into the statesman, basically, engine, gearbox, gearbox controller engine management PCM

I should also mention the airbags have been deployed
Its a salvaged vehicle

has it had a big hit obviously.ide be checking the block at the engine mounts before going too far the tend to crack or tear a piece right out the block being alloy

I dont think it was a big hit. They write them off pretty easy these days.

Ok, the engine cranks over with the relay bridged but not starting. No spark at the ignition coil either. Bugger
This time I have no gauges plugged in as I sold it. Hmm maybe I should have kept them for now

grab a test light and check for power at the injectors with the ignition on if no power bridge the efi relay and try again with the start relay

Ill give it a go tonight. Last night was raining and the car is out side so nothing could be done.
Im guessing there should be 12v at the injector? I only have a multimeter no test light

yes 12v the pcm pulses earth the 12v is constant when the key is on and the same power source supply the dfi module for spark

true of the v6... this is the ls1 we are talking about... there is no DFI module
but there should still be ign voltage at the injector tho
