Yeah I know of one fella who is into them, only a shitty old hilux and the amount of times I see that thing getting fixed due to breaking something off road is astounding lol.

expensive exercise.

I personally only do offroading using old falcon paddock bombs as I can just get the scrap metal guy come pick it up once I'm done.
I'm the director of VSH (Vlad's Spec Holden), because HSV were doing it ass about.

Damn yeah, lots of coin in the 4x4 stuff. My old boss was into it. We built is hilux at work over one summer. 350/350 engine/trans combo, custom extension housing on the trans to mate it to the transfer case. 36" supper swampies, suspension lift, custom bull bar with big winch, full steam pipe roll cage, radiator mounted in the tray etc.

First time out he rolled it, caught it on fire, dented every panel bar one including popping the windscreen out. burnt his fingers with battery acid due to the roll which forced the bonnet down across the battery terminals starting a fire. He put his finger in the hole in the battery to try and save it.......

After all that, he still towed out his mate who has a 380 chrysler engine in a Hilux surf wagon who blew a couple of CV's.

A workmate is looking at a Nissan Patrol with similar mods as above as he's gotten the bug as well.

couldnt get any avgas today bit of a bummer but still got it running. went to start it and it was so empty it wouldnt even start must of evaporated away we drove it in there LOL.chuck 4 or 5 litres of pump gas in there on the avgas tune fired it up on axle stands run through the gears checked all the fluids.then we had to have a small attempt at building boost 7psi with the tyres just starting to turn less than half throttle looks like a win so far.some avgas tomorrow and time to get it on the ground and see just how far we can go butits looking like a win looking like we are going to have the same launch rpm but 10-15 psi more boost at launch LOL i have a fealing we may go more than a little bit into the tens if we can still hook it up

Same stall but it's a nitrous converter. Has anti ballooning plates front and rear and the direction of the vanes is totally opposite to stop it flairing when you hit the nos or boost seems so far to do as advertised
