Re: Toyota Powered VL Calais
Have had it for awhile now (prob 2 or 3 years). Swapped with another sensor verified with the LM1 and no change so pointing towards the gauge unit.The1 wrote:when did you purchase your mtx-l ? Another one with issues. Have you tried seperating the heater lines?
Logworks shows the same unstable readings when logging via serial, and the display jumps around a bit but its hard to see the spikes when trying to drive. There is only one ground wire (never opened it to try and split it though), but I suspect it wont make a difference with the same issue happening via serial.
I did consider it!delcowizzid wrote:i thought you would of gone SLC OEM and built it into the ecu vl400 LOL

Re: Toyota Powered VL Calais
yeah that's one of the group buy I did of them I believe ? so would be a good 2-3 years or more.....
I honestly haven't ever noticed mine do that, but then mine is in a race car that doesn't often cruise!
I'd be interested to see even though its out of warranty if innovate had anything to say about it ?

Wow time flies, was early 2011 as part of the group buy. Will be asking Innovate to see if there is a reason or its just faulty - not expecting anything done about it being nearly 4 years old.
And didnt mention, but both LM1 and MTX-L are set to 1/12 update speeds on the analog output.

i'll try and take note of this stuff on this weekend, theres a LC-1 in VS202 racing and MTX-L in the V6 turbo VP so yeah i'll get some logs to look at!

even this guy as an industry tuner knows about the problems. This LC2 review he seems to state theyve fixed the issues.

Re: Toyota Powered VL Calais
seeing the new posts reminded me to check the logs from Gunnedah
so the commodore 202 was running the LC1 .... its the first LC1 I got maybe 2008/9 ... but its using a new o2 sensor (less than 1yr old I'd say) from my MTX-L out of the Gemini ....
im also not sure how much the cam and rougher idle adds to the readings either compare to the v6 below.
and this is v6 with very small cam compared to above, and MTX-L wideband about 4 months old.
so you can see the map in the v6 is much smoother than the 202 but there is some difference in the wideband readings ..... both are delco wideband input.

Re: Toyota Powered VL Calais
Wow it would be nice to get my MTX-L so usable. Might need to pull it to bits and see what is going on inside.
Have got a spartan on the way now, so will have a direct compare with an LM1 and two MTX-Ls
My understanding of the MTX-L is it is very similar to an LC2 as far as the wideband and analog output circuits go. The LM1 and LC1 used a proper DAC output, MTX-L and LC2 are just a filtered PWM output. This is common on many wideband controllers though, the spartan is the same.

This is my MTX-L in the Gemini that was purchased at the same time as your MTX-L ....
