Ok gents its been along time between posts for me
But would like a hand to settle a debate

What function dose the cam sensor serve on a commodore

On vr v6 it signals the start of banked injection for which bank of cylinders to fire first on the later sequential injection is signals the starting position to start sequential injection if you were to remove the cam sensors it would just pulse all the injectors like it does in the old 808 system

Also extra bit from the manual for ecotecs, square wave signal, high signal that goes low for 60degrees once every 720degree crank rotation.

That's my thinking, but found myself in a debate
With a gent that is trying convince me that it plays apart
In the injector pulse width calculations :shock:

It also helps with spark, there is individual cyl spark modification - Holden just never used the table, populating it with 0 correction. Its a handy table if you want an overall spark trim for quickly testing things, or to induce light knock on a single cyl when setting up knock sensors.
