$12p injector upgrade
Re: $12p injector upgrade
Are you getting good fuel pressure?
Standard 36lb L67 injectors on a stock L67 get to 90% usually around 15psi, is this engine stock?

Hi guys, thanks for responding
currently the single fire option and double fire option is clear. Not ticked. The fuel pressure regulator is hooked up as per normal to the inlet manifold, We are using walbro 450 L/h fuel pump. Im not sure what else to try.
VL400, just to be clear, theres no pulse width adjustment in 111? is it worth the upgrade to 112?
The1 yeah the motor is bog stock with the 3 bar reg. Nothing has changed except for the sc14 and the l67 injectors

Re: $12p injector upgrade
if possible I'd be getting a fuel pressure gauge, tap it into the fuel system and go for a run, see if pressure is dropping of at all etc ?
it definitely sounds like something is limiting it though.it hasn't got a flat fuel line under the car or something stupid like that ?

Re: $12p injector upgrade
I think that l67 injector flow rate is at 3.5 bar fuel pressure. The regulator on vn-vr is 3 bar. Not sure how much difference that would make to flow.

Re: $12p injector upgrade
that would still make them roughly 30lb, which is 50% larger than a stock injector, somehow I think there is something else going on here!

What kinjectorflow figure did you get?
Post your BIN up might help, maybe a log to go with it?

Is the the SC14 plumbed before or after the throttle body?hoosedamoose wrote:Hi guys, thanks for respondingThe fuel pressure regulator is hooked up as per normal to the inlet manifold

Re: $12p injector upgrade
I have attached a copy of the bin to this post.
The fuel lines seem intact in the car, no flatspots etc.
the super charger is setup in the following way. The throttle body is before the charger, so it has been relocated to the front with extended kickdown and throttle cables. It has all the necessary vac lines running to the throttle body as per normal. The map sensor and fpr are connected to the manifold as they do from factory. I think the next step is to hook up a gauge and see if the positive pressure is affecting it in anyway, id assume that the pressure would increase with boost. Or alternatively ill take off the vac hose on the regulator and block it off. See what happens then. How does that sound?
At first i thought it was the ADX not reporting properly, but there's no reason why it shouldnt work. i'm stumped.

Re: $12p injector upgrade
if the regulator is working properly removing the vacuum hose will give you the same pressure as at WOT .... but then if you go into boost and its not increasing pressure you should actually see a lean out ... (this is assuming the regulator normally does increase pressure with boost)

Re: $12p injector upgrade
hoosedamoose I don't think you have a full understanding of how the fuel pressure reg works. The so called vac hose that goes to the fuel reg must also see boost pressure now as well as vac, if it dose not see your boost pressure the fuel pressure will not increase.
With a standard fuel reg the fuel pressure will rise at a ratio of 1:1 so for 10 PSI boost the fuel pressure will rise 10 PSI.

Can you describe all the vac lines running to the throttle body?hoosedamoose wrote: The throttle body is before the charger, so it has been relocated to the front with extended kickdown and throttle cables.
