yeah they sure do, perfect size for the earlier commodore radiators! ... will definitely be my fans of choice for all conversions in the future

i have emailed vintage auto air to see what sizes their condensers go down to, and also if that's not an option (i have probably 15-20mm max) then if there is something i can mount under the floor somewhere maybe an option.

i have also soldered the V8 knock filter onto the bedfords PCMhacking NVRAM board and enabled all the tune bits for it, very interested to see if the straight cut gear drive sets it off, and expecting it will!

also interesting to note, V8 tunes have no values in the fan on iac steps and such ... having said that the fan doesn't seem to effect the motor idling so obviously not too greatly needed, however that might change when there is a torque converter and gearbox load on the motor too!

they shift some air too I have mounted the the same way on my vl with ally angle across the top and I just cable tied them to the bottom where the shroud would clip in. they keep the turbo 304 cool with no dramas.

Ive used these fans a few times now, very efficient.
I think the V6 adds 3 steps for fan on? Also ftom memory the V8 fanon temp is very high? 110deg?

yeah most of the time mine stays cool with just one of the fans on so should be well capable with both going!

yeah i just compared to the V6 CAL and put its settings into the V8 cal... theres 3 steps for each fan on plus 2 transient i think for each .... and yeah the on temps are pretty high .... or were

VR/VS V8's had engine driven fans and used condenser fan if things got hot as a boost, hence the high temperatures to turn them on.

Ive seen thermos fitted to these before wired to a spare plug near the radiator.
Must of been part of the body loom for the V6 model.
It triggers the thermo at 3/4 up on the temp gauge. Cant be good for the engine.

Van looks good mate, i no the v6's the fans turned on at 102 and off at 97 i think

yeah i've set it to low on at 90 and high on a 95 .... will have to see how it goes, im not sure what thermostats in it but the fan almost never goes off and keeps it about 88 .... might need to increase it slightly ... will be fine till i get it on the road and see for sure.

my body wiring loom is from a VS Ecotec, so has the 2 speed fan wires at the side of the radiator already so was basically a plug in proposition

Think standard thermostat is 91. I usually set the ecu on at 96. That's with 12P.
Works good.
