Hi Guys, im trying to find a solution to the problem I have with the V8 commodore tappet cover breather fittings .... the issue I have is that I do not have any!
does anyone know where you can get them new or if there is any other better solution to them ??
I can find a lot of generic stuff on ebay and such, but nothing specifically for the stock tappet covers, and I don't really want to have to get a new set if I don't need to.

You could weld or tap and fit a regular type hose fitting possibly.

yeah I had thought about possibly tapping a thread for a speedflow fitting or similar .... I spoke to a mate about welding them and he reckons they are hard to weld because of the material in them ?

I'm running some from KC castings, there not an exact fit but easy to take the slack up, I think they were about $25 from memory

Yeah I think the castings probably aren't the best quality alloy but it's got to be better than the picture of a Stripmaster manifold I saw recently, it was bloody porous
I don't like how they look welded anyway, I'd probably tap a thread and just use some quality sealant.

yeah I think im leaning towards that option to the more I look and search, only thing I need to find out is if the baffle inside the tappet cover is removable as that's pretty much mandatory to be able to do it properly!
thanks for all the info guys, I will post up what I decide on.
