Yep and was there just this wed.
Just testing atm want to see how hard I can push a stock 304 before
I change the cam etc.
Prob be there with a different car in 2 weeks.
Getting back into it after,a few years.
Where you running?

yeah I did two passes in the Gemini before blowing the head gasket, my brother did 5 passes in the vs commodore with 202 in it and another mate was there with a red VH 304 commodore. we were parked on the lane right up the end where you come back round to go to the staging lanes.

Cool,i remember the vh ,Ran it again on the 23rd not having a lsd stopped me from getting a 14.9
but it ran 15.0 2.3 60ft 1/8 9.7 and 15.0 reaction time was .005 came 2nd!
Im going to do the gears and lsd and have another go then ill cam it.

nice work on the reaction time!

definitely a lot to make up in the launch! LSD will definitely help there!

Well been a while
Finally fitted a diff with 3.9s and lsd
Its now had the comp bumped up ,vn group a cam (genuine)
was a lucky find and come ttb intake and 42lb injectors.
Plan is to turbo charge it very soon,just getting bits here and there. :turbo:

sounds like its heading in the right direction ;)

but more compression and boost ? different fuel ?

Possibly e85 down the track since there's a united servo near me.
Comps prob around 9.0 nothing over the top.(stock bottom end)
Installed some cometic gaskets.
Just got to decide what turbo and parts to use.
Will prob do twin 044s surge and Teflon lines like my other car.
Built a few good n/a engines and ive had a vortech v2 intercooled
setup on a 304 before so time for something different, always wanted to do it!

yeah 9:1 should be ok with e85 definitely! :)
