VY Vx pcm's are they the same

Anyone know what the deal is with vy vx v6 pcm's is their any differences between auto manual and vx vy etc.
And i read somewhere that the later ones are matched with the bcm is this true and whats involved in matching a bcm and pcm together.

VX & VY V6 PCM's are the same animal.
The Vats setup requires the BCM to be linked to the PCM.
Linking procedure is done with a Tech2

Thanks any idea what it cost to link the two a mate of mine has a vx that was drowned in salt water and destroyed the pcm i can get him another pcm from a vy cheap to get him out of trouble hence my questions auto manual the same pcm as well ?.

ok you would need to get it to a dealer & have it reflashed with the correct software for the car its going into
they can then link them, shouldnt cost more than $100 if they are hungry.lol
