Re: vp v6 problem
you said its started flashing after changing the ecu, check all the pins are right into the plugs on the ecu .... I used to have a pin (power) that would always just come out a bit when plugging it in, had to then push that pin in from the back to make contact properly.
No matter what the question is, the answer is always more horsepower!

Bit of a long shot as I'm not sure were the earth wire from the ECU to the engine goes on these, is it the head or engine block?
Given the heads have been removed may be worth checking that it is still connected and tight.

its on the timing cover and one is on the DFI bracket. So yeah its possible as the bracket is on the head.
I'm the director of VSH (Vlad's Spec Holden), because HSV were doing it ass about.
Re: vp v6 problem
I just changed the injectors to vt ones, coilpacks to the standard ones so it runs better but now its running good but still the Manifold air temp is reading code 25 saying its low voltage but since I put the new one in the code 23 got cleared and now its just that
I think its the plug but im not sure weather to cut it off and put a new plug on and try it

Re: vp v6 problem
yer I got two earth straps on the coilpacks and a massive one to the motor
everything works just the stupid manifold air temp sensor
might just use the spare loom I have and see what happens soon cause I get all my tuning gear next week

Re: vp v6 problem
now code 25 and 45 are staying on
wtf this car is getting beyond a joke feel like ripping the motor out and just dropping a standard 6 in it

Re: vp v6 problem
I once done an ecu swap in a vr. ECU only nothing else. Car ran fine but about 6 codes that would not clear.
Then swapped that out again and all good from then on. Possible ecu problem?

Re: vp v6 problem
The code 45 is more than likely due to the far from ideal tune running so rich.
A code 25 is often an internally shorted sensor (but has been replaced) or shorted to ground wiring. Pull the sensor off and measure the resistance of the two wires at the sensor (make sure the key is turned off), one should be grounded and the other should be somewhat higher. Key on and check that there is 5V across the two pins. Check the resistance of the sensor, should be more than 500 ohms unless the engine is roasting hot and its heat soaked. With it unplugged and the engine running it should throw a code 23 if the wiring is not shorted in the loom.
Seems like a fair amount of work to swap a loom before some quick checks!

Re: vp v6 problem
So basically if the code 25 I can check it out and fix it and the code 45 I need to get it tuned asap

Yes.
Very difficult/impossible to tune a vehicle with sensor faults or mechanical issues.
