I think one of the big issues with modding the V6's is that most stick with a stock bottom end when means lack of compression. Big cams need comp to work otherwise they become really peaky with a complete lack of low rpm torque which will make it un-driveable on the street without a huge stall converter and diff gears to suit.

Heads and intake by kosteki engine in WA (not in business anymore) was the biggest secret to making that, was tune buy a shop in sunbury (also not in business anymore) and always felt it was conservative, but has always been reliable. Have 6 championships and litterally hundreds of trophies and first places, have had a lot of sucess with the package over the four years it campaigned.

Am hoping to have another crack at the alexandra speedway 100 lapper this year.

FYI - VH commodore, ecotec, getrag, speedway modified sedan :D

thats exactly what I think. after seeing many rather mild engine with big usable power relative to the little mods. CR was the main factor in all of them. Most I see run 10:1 to 12.5: depending on cam.

delcowizzid wrote:i have dynosim with protools its ok really need pipemax header software too .engine analyzer plus was also good it has more inputs than dynosim which just has headers and inlet manifolds selected by type not actual sizes and lengths you choose full race steped tube header it assumes the best possible header design built to suit the combo doesnt use any user inputted values so its really only head cam and engine arcitecture planner

there is dynomation which does everything. even has wave modeling and fluid dynamic modeling. its $500 though

haha yeah. it was great! its changed my view of automotive stuff forever.

I get a great sense of what the engineers were doing when they designed these models.

going from start to finish in such detail really makes me appreciate what holden engineers did and what the guys of this community did to add to that experience.

Thanks for the good word, appreciate it

seriously easy doors to work on. Mostly done in 20 min and everything fit perfect so far  and no drama! piece of cake.

I installed rare spares bailey channel kit and I must say I was very impressed on how accurate the parts were. Only the rearward channel didn't have a rolled over edge for some reason while the front did like factory. But it fit perfect and was otherwise perfect cross sectional reproduction. The other 2 rubbers were 100% spot on and all was precut to length which also spot on.

tested the electric window and its ace!
