Re: Vlad's rides thread
So im preping that old Berlina boot lid I had pretty much done for the long gone VP executive project.
Just gave the lip another sand and primed it ready for a bead of seam sealer, then to give it a fine sand with 600 or similar ready for my guy to paint.
I found the best way to get that factory look is to mask a channel all the way around and run a small bead, then add some to a brush and brush it in one dirrection, whilst peeling the masking tape away from areas done. So thats the next thing to do.

I'm the director of VSH (Vlad's Spec Holden), because HSV were doing it ass about.

Re: Vlad's rides thread
All the base 12P tunes are as close to factory as possible, even with the larger tables (the extra cells are just interpolated from the factory cells either side). The series 1 V6 APNX cal is the only one that is likely different from factory due to being ported from a $5D bin. But for a V8 its above 80kpa that is not targeting stoich. Should be the same as a $12 factory bin.vlad01 wrote:delcowizzid wrote:i dont know any v8 bins at 14.7 that high in the load
12P had all 14.7 until the last 2 columns where it suddenly goes 12.5 iirc.

yeah that might be it, I know it was around the higher Kpa it switches to 12.5 from 14.7. Where as the V6 has more transitional values throughout the table.

Re: Vlad's rides thread
Yeah V6 is a smoother transition, they seem to have spent more time on the V6 tunes. I also suspect two different calibration groups were involved as a number of things are done differently (ie compare AE/manifold fuel).
Re: Vlad's rides thread
Maybe the V6's were done in the US being a US motor?
Ive read a post from doctor bob somewhere about seeing our 5 litres on a dyno at holden.
I think he worked for holden once? Not sure what doing.

Re: Vlad's rides thread
LOL, I don't think Holden ever really put much effort into tuning the 304's. In reality they went from 160kw in the VN to 168kw in the VS
Just look at how easy HSV got em to 185kw and there is more to be had for sure even then.

Re: Vlad's rides thread
I thought they were 180kw in the VS ? and 195 in the VT before they went LS1 ?
either way, it takes very little work on the VE and spark tables to make them much improved!

No matter what the question is, the answer is always more horsepower!
Just starting out? Have a read of the getting started guide
Basic tuning of a delco ECM with $12P thread
Advanced tuning of a delco ECM with $12P thread

Those were the HSV outputs for VN and VT respectively.Holden202T wrote:I thought they were 180kw in the VS ? and 195 in the VT before they went LS1 ?
