well i havn't had time to try and draw up straight trumpets as a better test, so i just hit print on these ones, i have 3 so far and the rest will print when i get time to setup another run, they wedge in there quite nice.

When i do the straight fluted trumpets what gap between it and the lid do you reckon? The Ferrari ones looked to be only half way not up near the lid.

I second what Vlad said :punk:

Can run them on the VT on the dyno when ever you want...

How strong is that material?

AS Delco pointed out earlier in this thread, there are a lot of forces at work inside a manifold, would hate to see one collapse and get stuck in the valves/cylinder.

It surely will be interesting to see the results thought  (emoticon which the forum doesn't have so ....) :punk:

Hah! just read the question, didn't notice it before, too busy looking at the pics  Could use a plenum spacer to allow for clearance and could add material to inside plenum to compensate for volume.

It's ABS plastic, a 1mm thick tube with 30% fill i can't break with my hands, takes a bit of cracking with a hammer to snap it and even then you just crack it. For the final product which i just tested now i used 80% fill so its very solid. The temperature range is also good, it doesn't flow out the nozzle till atleast 180c so it'l handle any plenum intake temps fine.

Biggvl Yeh that's fine i can send some down for testing, prob send down a box of them once im done with this set and the next trumpet set. I have the gcode files so can print more anyway.

Here's the test with them facing opposites, looks like the result isn't good, There's a 30 odd cylair gain upto MBT but after that airflow drops off rapidly compared to stock the peak torque looks to be in about the same place, i will try them next all facing towards the throttle body. I think the way the factory setup has it with them all flat it helps helps the next get more air and increases velocity as rpm picks up. Hopefully on the weekend ill try and draw up a trumpet as well and do a similar length and try a setup like the others shown.

Great work The1, bummer about the results, I think the trumpets will help.

Got busy with the sawsall yesterday, surprised at wall thickness and port shape. Me thinks theres lots of room for porting and shape change, might need to cut up a head and check thickness to jackets...
