M90 de-laminating rotor coating?

Post by immortality »

Hi Guys,

What sort of efficiency losses would you expect to see when the coating on the rotors starts to come off?

Other than the MACE rotors are there any other options for getting the rotors re-coated?

Thanks

Yeah I've thought of this a few times but never posted the question or bothered googling, but yeah got a couple of set's in my workshop that have it half gone & when I first saw it I thought crap that must have done some damage going through the motor as it's like a chrome sheet!

yeah i seen westerlies pics today didnt look good that small pulley just killed the coating.any powder coater that does ceramic coating could redo the surface but getting the thickness correct would be the issue

It only ran a 10psi pulley for about 30km's total. No way the pulley was responsible for that.

Engine has a bearing knock, the guy that rebuilt it seems to have used a LOT of orange sealant, probably clogged up the pick up.

Can happen if the supercharger isn't torqued down properly as the casing warps easily. There will be some run in wear as long as the coating isn't way to thick it should be ok.

I think that one is 3.2" (or 12 psi?), was bought to suit a small cam upgrade. It had a 3.4"/10psi which is mine.

Maybe try to find a L67 short.
