New to Tunerpro, assistance needed with a few things :-)

Post by Solid »

Hi everyone,

I am new to this software and hardware so I thought I would ask a few questions. I have a VP Calais V6 which I have turbocharged. I have purchased a NVRAM and comms board from VL400 and have it all up and running now. I have started and run the car with my new cal file in the ECM. I must first thank VL400 for his assistance so far, he has gone beyond the call of duty to assist me so thanks mate.

I have just now started the car with the tune set up for 60lb injectors and the 3 bar sensor. I am now looking in to Tunerpro RT version 5. I want to integrate my PLX wideband into the TP software. How do I go about doing this? VL400 did mention something about wiring the PLX analogue output into a spare ECM port, but I dont know which one this would be. How do I also set up the actual software to log the PLX analogue output? I am efficient with EFILive, but it will take me a while to get my head around this software. Any assistance is appreciated.

Here is a brief run down of what mods I have:

- Garrett GT3582R
- Siemens Deka 60lb injectors
- Delco 3 bar map sensor
- NVRAM board
- USB comms board

welcome aboard mate, hopefully we can help you progress this thing nicely.

Firstly $12P ecm inputs/outputs.

B9 ; Map Switching
D8 ; Wideband Input
A4 ; Flex Output 1
A3 ; Flex Output 2
D12 ; Flex Output 3
A7 ; Flex Output 4 - Works as TCC solenoid if Automatic Transmission, Flex table if Manual Transmission.
B12 ; 0-25v A/D Input

so wideband analog setup ... not really sure how to do it with your device as i have only used the innovate LC-1 ... but how it works is you setup the analog output to be 0-5v and that correlates to 7.35-22.39 AFR

if you can't work it out maybe post a screen shot of your plx setup or something like that and someone might be able to help more.

Now as far as logging with TP5 i believe there is some stuff on the forum here for it but im not sure on its quality as i haven't used it, however the adx's that come with $12P are setup properly and pretty well tested for use with scanner pro.

And i believe all the xdf's are created for TP4 not 5 but again there may be something floating around that someone has setup for TP5.

soak up that info and let us know if i've missed anything!

ps. got any pics of the car or turbo setup you can share with us ?

Thanks for your reply Holden202 :)

I will check out a diagram of the ECM pins and see if I can get the wideband sorted. All the adx and xdf terms are new to me lol. I have been trying to set up the TP5 to log and it needs an adx file. I am not entirely sure what to do with creating one or if you can use one that someone else has created? I may try using scannerpro as it seems to be the tried and tested way to go.

Sorry, but as I said I am entirely new to all of this. I just got the car started and running with the 60's and 3 bar sensor today. Before I drive it I need to integrate the wideband then I can start fiddling. I realise it may take a week or so before I can get my head around this software. I am hanging to take her for a boost though!

Hey everyone,

I am trying to connect to TunerproRT V5. I have downloaded the OSE file which my ecm contains. It has some adx files in it. I have tried to connect to start logging/emulating but it wont detect my hardware. I have made sure my settings are correct in preferences. I can upload and download via scantool so I dont know what I am doing wrong? Any pointers as to what it could be?

Thank you :)

Thanks wizzid. I have a copy of scannerpro 0.05.0630.00. I have tried to connect through there also but it still wont connect :( The adx I have used it says its for a VR manual. I dont know if that makes any difference but my car is a VP V6 auto. If you could email your version of scannerpro it would be great.

use the adx in the 12P zip file called OSE_$12P_v1.06_3BAR.adx in scannerpro should work

Thanks mate. I have V1.02. I just tried that file and after I try to connect it just says failed to connect straight away. I dont know what I am doing wrong. Scannerpro has very few settings and I have my com port right. Should the baud rate be 8192 for my car?
