unable to open port is a windows thing. it means the com port is invalid or in use, try closing anything that could be using the com port like the flashtool etc and make sure you have the correct com port selected.

Thanks Jayme. I shut eveything down. Checked device manager and it is com port 19. I have this selected in both scannerpro and TP. I can connect using flash tool and read/write so that is what is puzzling me?

com port may be too high of a number maybe move some ports round and label it com 4 or something

i dont think scannerpro can read ports above 8.... you need to go into the properties of the port indevice manager and manually assign it a port number below 8. let me know if you cant figure it out, its in one of the options of the comport.

Thanks guys. I manually assigned it as port 1 and scannerpro now connects. TP does not connect. I can log but all the gauges are flicking at a million miles an hour and not reading right.

Thanks mate :)

I can get it logging ok now. The 3 bar one, all the gauges flick and dont read right. If I use the 2 bar or 1 bar one, all the gauges seem to read correctly and update right. Im getting there slowly! Thanks for the help so far and looking forward to more help :)
