No matter what the question is, the answer is always more horsepower!

Do you plan to make this functionality available for retro fitting to existing loggers? I would like to register my interest

Re: Toyota Powered VL Calais
from what I understand it will work in at least any V2 logger provided to install like the picture and then just need a revised firmware and adx additions for the extra analog inputs.
from what VL400 said, the inputs are there, there just wasn't the room on the DB9 to add the wiring for them.

Yeah true, could certainly do that but the correlation of track position to data is what would make it super useful.Jayme wrote:you could export the tunerpro log to CSV and import that into a mapping program? bit of a pain tho. be good to see all the engine data with a track map next to it when stepping through the data.
It can be fitted to existing logger V2, there are 2 spare analog inputs internally to the logger the board wires to. So the 4 analog inputs are still available to use externally (essentially now its logging 6 analog and 2 digital inputs in addition to the normal ECU data). I can fit a board if you are not comfortable soldering it yourself, I dont have any right now though. Will be adding the '+' firmware to the logger zip once its tested, so you could solder it yourself and flash in the firmware.TdracerTd wrote:Do you plan to make this functionality available for retro fitting to existing loggers? These boards are 0-3.3V (1.65V is 0G) - with the loggers higher resolution inputs its not a problem and you can still easily get 0.01 G. One interesting thing is the logger can be a spirit level in a pinch, may have noticed in the video that turning the logger 90degrees shows a positive or negative value that holds. Its 0.6G, so you can change the calc to show a rotational degree value. Vibration is still detected so cant really be used on a vehicle, was thinking steering angle, combined with lateral G force can calc under/over steer.

You're doing much better than me - I installed a 3 axis accelerometer in my R-Pi logger a year or more ago, but the car hasn't left my driveway since then so this is about as exciting as my logs get
