Was that 300hp N/A or F/I? I think component stress levels are about to go through the roof drastically by the looks of that tasty cam grind haha

hahaha yeah that was fi yeah its about to get pretty nasty witch is y i would like to convert it over to the t56 i cant see the getrag holding up to much under those stresses and i dont want to have to re drill new holes if i need a diferent flywheel so i think ill just wait and see how things go when i look into the t56 conversoin

yeah i agree, the more you rev it the more its going to have harmonic issues which will effect bolts ..... and by the looks of the cam it will want to go to almost 7000rpm.

All the aftermarket T56 to V6 conversion flywheels I've got from Mal Wood and NPC have the t5 factory dowel position holes in the fly. Worst case if you were off a mm or 2 there's plenty of scope to oversize the dowel holes when going T56 so it lines up

Seen a few Getrags cry after a good dyno and street test haha. That's a temporary unit there :cash:

yeah well im not sure if it will retain the same flywheel or not i guess it depends on the clutch arrangement i use and yeah that cam is good till 6800+rpm ill only be spinning it till 6800 not sure if she'll cope with 7k on a stock crank

The centre of the flywheel will remain the same regardless of T56 / T5 / Getrag / Tremec / etc. The only changes with another flywheel will be the outside PCD, thread size & spacing for the clutch pressure plate mounting.
So it would be very wise if your going add the dowels, then do it to factory specs.

Cheers

Ok cool that helps however im more than likely going to beed a multiple plate cluch to keep this thing contained so a factory spec flywheel might not be suitable unless you know if the t56 flywheels use same bolt pattern as a ecotec ?

I'd be very wary of even for your application, stock crank will be pushed past its limits, whether it fails or not is the question lol

They can take huge amounts of torque, but not huge amount of rpm, combo of both is asking for it. I would limit it to 6000, 6500 absolute max in quick bursts for the power you would be making.

Yeah its the only weak link in my combination ive herd alot of mixed stories some say 7k is fine others say not to push them past 6.5-6.8k i myself am undecided im going to start at 6k once the break in period is over and slowly bump it up to 6.5k after a set period of time and if thet seems fine i may sqeeze it to the 6.8 of the cam but it mostly depends on where it peaks power if it peaks at 6.5k ill happily keep it set there for the rest of its life so i dunno im just taking as meany oppinions on the matter as i can like they say knowledge is power :)
