Re: my ride vt ecotec
ive just noticed that i havent put on the magnet for the cam timing sensor i have had a look and i cannot see a provision for one on the new timing chain does it simply omit this part or does it use the holes in the gear for a pulse with the car run without it or should i pull it appart and find a way to get it to fit somewhere?? im confused about this thing ive done a bit of reserch and it looks like no one else puts it back on hmmm

The rear of the cam sprocket has 1 recessed hole for the cam interrupt to live in. Should still work without it but you'll be on batch fire yukky

Re: my ride vt ecotec
hey guys been busy lately and got this thing running a couple of days ago for the first time it has a couple of issues i need to sort out but for some reason once the car wars up just stationary it nearly stalls then idles right up to 1800 rpm and wont come back down its as if something activates and idles the car up but i cant for the life of me work out what may be doing it i was just wondering if anyone would be able to help shed some light on y this is happening? i have got a small log ill throw in down here but im not sure if it will be much use as it was already hot and i just turned it off and back on again and it just went back up to around 1500 ish i can get a better more proper log tomorrow that ill get from cold to when the event occurs if its needed thank you

Not a thermo fan setting ?
No matter what the question is, the answer is always more horsepower!

Re: my ride vt ecotec
so i cant work this out been through nearly every flag map and scalar on this thing and i cant seem to get it to idle properly once the fans come on as soon as it come on it idles high af and wont stop regardless of what i change i know the tune is crap atm it needs to be put on the dyno and broken in and tuned properly but theres no point in doin that untill after i fix a leak and sort out this idle situation
made another quik log i may throw the tune up as well for a reference sake but i cant figure this out well yet anyway
seems to be the bin being used atm
