Those are some nice looking brakes. Nice un-sprung weight reduction too. Will be helpful on the dirt.

First time in a few weeks, me and big Marky spent some time on the race car, got the scales out and weighed the steel panels as they where removed ready for the fibre glass, this is what we found...

This was a surprise to me, as you can see, the panels are very 'skun out' but still weigh quite a bit

The normal scales wouldn't register the new boot lid


The old bonnet was waaayyy heavier than I guessed

This is a guard

That is the full replacement front clip, this means we also get to bin the grille, head lights and more supports that are no longer needed.

Tonight we cut the rear end off the car (yes thats right, there will be no metal panels from the bottom of the rear window back!!!) No going back from there
so will post up some photos of that tomorrow. I should start a tally of how much weight saving there has been so far.
