How to's ? Where to's ?
How to's ? Where to's ?
Is there any "How to's" on removing wire terminal out off the ECU/PCM plugs successfully without damage for Repinning ?
Also I need to know if there is a "Where to's" for buying things like Weather-Pack type female & male plugs & tools for repining etc.
Cheers

Check out this website for plugs/pins etc
https://www.eficonnection.com/eficonnec ... fault.aspx
There are special tools for removing pins from plugs but not sure if there is one to suit the GM type plugs/pins. I find using a very small flat screw driver slid down the back of the pin to lift the locking tab is enough to then be able to slide the pin out by pulling on the wire.
I bought a crimping tool and dies from Jaycar but the EFI connections website also sell the correct tool/dies to suit the various plugs/terminals etc.

I take a bit of tig welding wire, hammer out the end to the right width/height. works perfectly, unfortunately I keep putting it into my toolbox and promptly goes missing the next time I need it...

For removing the pins I have just ground down a stick of solder which i slide in the plug much like ejukated does, works well but I also keep loosing them.
once you have done it once or twice you get the hang if it and can flick them out in quite quickly

I use a sharpened push bike spoke - hardened steel

According to chemistry, alcohol is a solution...

Found this site. Pity there never seems to be any one in OZ carrying this stuff on stock, well not that I know.

I just use a large sewing needle, or if I need a square end a small nail/tack
I'm the director of VSH (Vlad's Spec Holden), because HSV were doing it ass about.
