HZ Tonner
Re: HZ Tonner
Looks good. Is that standard V8 air box and intake pipe? Looks a hood fit.

Re: HZ Tonner
Likely need a better airbox setup, those ones choke a stock V6 a fair amount, I think I V8 with some work would really suffer. But look like its factory though
I'm the director of VSH (Vlad's Spec Holden), because HSV were doing it ass about.
Re: HZ Tonner
Long story but once upon a time I had a VR V8 manual with a T5.
Low K's motor with a small cam running 185 chip.
I fitted a HSV air box (bit better looking design than stock) also a super 6 cold air intake and a K&N filter and what a difference that made. Huge!

Re: HZ Tonner
yeah that looks more like a v6 air box, the v8 one I thought normally had a pipe straight into it not on a bend ?
car looks nice and tidy, time to enjoy it now!

No matter what the question is, the answer is always more horsepower!

Re: HZ Tonner
Vn-vs1 v6 and v8 had the same air box but on the v8 it had an elbow bolted instead of the small straight flange.
Then on series 2 vs v8 it went to the rounded edges and the pipe was moulded all in one and came out the side.
Nice and tidy! Even better in the sun and the ecotec intake pipe was made for it.

I got a big increase on the mace CAI over stock air box on the vr v6.Dylan wrote:Long story but once upon a time I had a VR V8 manual with a T5.

on the vp its still stock air box but with the inlet cut bigger for the OTR type duct, minus any duct, just open to the engine bay and even that is a big difference.
Its that little pissy snorkel thing that is the main choke.
