Re: ALDLDroid Android App
Hey guy's, I'm just in the process of setting up my digital dash with ALDLdroid via my android incar 2 din head unit. I'm just wondering what adx files those running 12p are using? I have loaded in everything I would normally use on tunerpro, but am getting the program crashing. The debug & Sebastian (the dev) says it looks like a problem with the adx and in particular a listen packet macro?
Hopefully someon can assist

Re: ALDLDroid Android App
I just use the normal 12P 1 bar unmodified.
Maybe download the zip again?

Re: ALDLDroid Android App
Just a quick update.
So I was just trying a few things out quickly this morning and managed to get my adx working. Really strange though as I did the following:
Opened app, loaded one of the preloaded adx's, connect to ecm, didn't crash but was giving checksum error down the bottom (obviously). So while still connected, I changed to my usual 12p adx and it was working fine...
So then I closed the app, reopened, connected to ecm using the same adx as usual and it crashes again. So weird...

Hey Jayme, or anyone else that might know.Jayme wrote:
ok I havent had a great big look over this but I added a few items to my adx like injector duty cycle (which has linked items and works - well done), Speed, Oil pressure and IAC steps. then I went out and backed in and out of my driveway a bit and logged it with Aldldroid. attached is the result! happy days
I've got a VX LS1 which I have been able to log data from via TunerPro & an OBD2 cable and it all works sweet, but is cumbersome to have in the car on a regular basis while the wife drives to work and back.
As a alternative, I'm interested in purchasing a Bluetooth ODB2 device and having my wife log data on her android similar to how ALDLDroid works for ALDL and based on the above post am I correct in reading that with the above ADX file, a BlueTooth OBD2 device and ALDLDroid on an Android device I am able to log data to a TunerPro compatible file and then view it within TunerPro on my PC?
If not, are there any other Android apps that work correctly with Aussie OBD1/2 mix as used in my VX LS1?
Thanks.
Chuff

Re: ALDLDroid Android App
my adx will only work with AVT cables... it doesnt really do anything on the aldl bus, I only called the file aldl_ls1 because its for use with the app named aldldroid
You dont need anything special to log your car... any obd2 app will do. torque is a well known one, but there are loads of others that work with bluetooth elm's

I couldnt figure it out, and aborted the attempts due to time/cost/difficulty getting another unit to 3400tZ. It would be so much easier if we were local.

antus, if you can tell me how much it would cost you to fix the unit and how much for the shipping back, I might not mind paying for it. That is if you're still interested in that anyway. I'm assuming it should be somewhat easy to narrow down the issue at least since you probably have double hardware for everything (pig tail, ecu, nvram module, usb module ,etc) to see whats wrong.
