That's good you found a problem. Wack the V6 one on snd start again with the original tune. Log it from cold.
Think I may of touched touched the timing slightly but biggest gain would of been from leaning it out.

The v6 one had a different part number. Looked the same and would of fitted but not sure if the part number might indicate a different pressure.
But I found another v8 one anyway.

Has definitely fixed it.
Im back on your original tune and its running pretty well spot on. Fires up straight away hot or cold with no throttle. And I haven't noticed the AFR being more than about 0.5 out at any point except heavy deceleration which is still rich.

Ill grab another log from cold tomorrow

Ok ive finally got around to getting a log from cold. Starts cold and goes for a good half an hour.
Ive attached the BIN again aswell to avoid any confusion. Its the Bin I downloaded from the ECM prior to making the log. Ive got that many different copys now I was worried I would get confused lol. Time to start organizing them in folders.

A couple of questions,
I see your VE tables are very smooth. How do you get them like that? The tuner pro smooth function?

The charge temp table (discussed earlier). How do you go about adjusting that? Say it was running lean when cold but ran perfect at operating temperature is that the table you use to fix that?
Ill let you set it up for me but Im curious for future reference

Thanks again!

Great stuff Ill look over this tonight. I just smooth them by hand. I usually do that after a few logs then log again afterwards.
I have a few tunes here from small cam engines so was sure it would be close.

The charge temp is exactly for as you said, stable AFR at all temps. So if its right when warm (which is when you make ALL adjustments to this and VE) but lean when cold. You would make the colder part of the charge temp table colder so it richens up a bit.

Cold air is more dense so more fits in the cylinder therefore needing more fuel to achieve the AFR.
If the air is warm it less dense so needs less fuel to achieve the same AFR.

How's it drive now with this tune and the new fuel reg?

Awesome, thats how I thought it worked.
Drives great now.

Ive made one small change since taking that log. Opened the throttle up slightly to bring the IAC steps down to 15 as you said earlier.
Noticed it was dropping to too low an rpm and then recovering when coming back to idle. That seems to have fixed it.

Ill take another quick log now incase it made any difference.

Get another quick one. Might also put some more steps in the throttle crack table. Autos seem to like a few more steps I've noticed. I haven't done many auto's most of my mates run manuals (and myself)
On my car I actually lowered the steps. With aftermarket intake on it used to hold revs when changing gears.

I dont think its made alot of difference except at idle which is now slightly lean.
