Re: GregsVN
so thats why they still look brand new. sigh. oh well. changed anyway.
auto mount buttoned up, shifter riveted back in, shifter rod connected gearbox cross done. something interesting. a VT crossmember with the VT auto mount works fine on the VN gearbox FYi.
list of hates so far
1. fuel lines
2. transmission lines
3. power steering lines

Re: GregsVN
if you need the tool to disconnect the V6 type fuel lines i have some here $5 posted.
For the auto box's i didn't put the steel lines back on mine, i just ran hoses and bought the AN type swivel adapters.

I just throw it all out and put a manual in lol.
These don't use a tool to take the fuel lines off. they use hose clamps.

Re: GregsVN
VS - VY V6 Ecotecs Defiantly have them, VR Earlier is clamp i think as you say, not sure on V8's
This is the VS - VY Fuel Rail

Inside the end of the fuel line it's a pretty simple tool which i drew up and printed with abs. There is a commercial set you can buy which has all different sizes i think it's a bit exy though, so this does the trick.

Re: GregsVN
is cool.
yeah i don't have those type lines. just normal old school type. thats how the vn rolls. lol
good progress today. up to routing looms and shit for the engine.
turns out i need a new PS hose. so gotta get one of those.
got to pick-a-part yesterday and got some bits and pieces. need to get a cruise control box too. they had em at pickapart but they were all pretty average looking with buggered cables.
heres where i am at, at the moment, oh yeah wow look its a VN with a VN motor. i know its not a big deal, but, it is for me.

good old chog has been out in the garage helping me, shitting everywhere and getting in the way. i had to pick the bird up and move it a couple of times, just won't move.
The1 - yeah i agree - AN type would be better thats for sure. the hard lines suck.
vlad - I had the same thought. next time it will be a bloody manual trans. lol.
