super 6 into a vr ute
Hi all. i am wanting to put a super 6 into my vr ute. My ute is a t5 manual. what i wanted to do is use the vr wiring harness and computer. I know i will have to change a few plugs but that is no problem.
My question is can someone put the super 6 tune on a vr computer and get rid of the stuff i dont need. Like vats etc. Also to convert it to run map instead of maf.
Thanks.

honestly mate your going to need to do a full custom tune to make that work properly, and if you can't do that yourself your probably going to need to pay someone to do it.
No matter what the question is, the answer is always more horsepower!

Queensland Australia. Near Townsville

Ok, if anyone nearby would like to help or do a remote option ? I'd say you have to convert it over to different operating system at the minimum ?
Re: super 6 into a vr ute
Could run a VS super 6 loom and ecu? Could get a chip burnt with vats off no worries. Could even put a bit better of a tune on while you're going.

Re: super 6 into a vr ute
Was just not sure on the wiring difference between vr and vs. how had would it be to adapt the harness to mate with the rest of the vr gear? Best thing is it is a manual.
Re: super 6 into a vr ute
VS loom will be minimal mods. I've done it with a V8 and from memory one power feed in fhe engine bay was different.
VS super 6 ran normal ecotec ecu too I think just a different tune. Manual isn't a problem with that ecu either with a small mod they can read the T5 speed signal. Manual L67 tune has been covered a few times with the mods needed for manual.

I have not got any of this motor etc yet. Trying to see if it is worth it. The motor comes with vt loom and computer. But could get a vs loom and computer easy.
