Yeah i would be extremely surprised if the author included a virus, it was written as a way to have a free ALDL scanner with dash to help the DIY community before ScannerPro existed. The virus threat may be part of a dll package he did not write.

Thanks for checking it all out antus.

VL400,

Do you have any definitions for a VP V6?

I hope this is not considered necroposting...
Mcaffee didn't detect any virus on the file, if that helps anyone. The reason other antivirus may detect something on this ZIP file may be the fact that both the program and the "virus" were written in the same programming language (Delphi).

That being said, the screenshots are awesome. I got to this place while looking for information I need to write my own program, but I'm reconsidering doing so is this program works... which is why I had to post here:

Question: Why is the program telling me the editing of vehicles is disabled? Is it implemented at all?

Thanks!

Welcome to the forums.

This program was a bit ahead of its time (IMHO). It pre dates thesforums by a few years and is no longer in development, nor is source available. (correct me if im wrong, mayhem). These days were using Tunerpro for logging and editing, where we develop definitions for it, as well as new or modified ecu code bases. There are a bunch of tools here, some of which are still under development, and plenty of people who are happy to share, so hang around and start a thread if you do want to do any development. We'll help where we can.
Have you read the FAQ? For lots of information and links to significant threads see here: http://pcmhacking.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=1396
