Re: vr starting issue
What loom is fitted now? What's missing spark or fuel or both? What ECU and memcal is fitted?

Re: vr starting issue
If it's using the VR ECU or VR Memcal will need to disable VATS.

Re: vr starting issue
Well im running a vr ecu and wiring with vr manual memcal. There is no spark. I was thinking of maby swapping out vr wiring, memcal, and ecu and putting my old vp wiring in it. Oly thing I can see is different is vp loom has no cam sensor, which I hear is not a problem because it is a manual.

Re: vr starting issue
Pretty certain you can't use a vr manual memcal in a vr auto ecu. You need to use the vp loom and ecu. By the vr memcal will need vats disabled to run. You are probably better off using the vp memcal for now and it should perform better as the vp stock timing is more like the required performance timing for a vr engine anyway.

Re: vr starting issue
if the wiring loom is for VR manual then it should work with a vn computer but you'll still need VATS disabled....
if its a VR auto loom then you'll probably need to either swap it out for the vn/vr manual loom, or just run the auto computer with some mods, but probably easier to use vn loom and computer.
most people can change VATS and such for you for a fee if you post the memcal, also if you post your location and someones local that might work better.

No matter what the question is, the answer is always more horsepower!

Re: vr starting issue
This is correct. The the VN/VP/VR manual computers are related to VR auto but are different enough to not be software compatible.vlad01 wrote:Pretty certain you can't use a vr manual memcal in a vr auto ecu

Re: vr starting issue
So does that mean you could run a VN memcal in a VR manual ECU and not have the vats problem?

Yeah mate will do the trick. BUT you will not be able to go over 40kmh as the calibration has a different PPK for the speed reference and you will hit the fuel cut at 40kmh. Translates to around 240kmh.
