M16 SS in plentiful supply, you should have that sample bit I gave you a few weeks back ? Don't forget if you turn down an m10 bolt or stud by the time you get it down to m8 the material will be softer, you'll just chew out a few of biggvl's lathe tips in the process :)

the contact pad on the sensor is 20mm, be best to stick to that for proper sound transmission.
Even just steel will do.

Was wondering why you wouldn't just take an exhaust stud, or bolt of the correct thread and just turn it down and retap as required at one end. You've seen my crude welded together bolts, they have worked for me for a while now

but it will look shite.

I can get the right studs but they will have to come from either US or UK like the last lot I bought for my stripped out shifter threads.

EDIT.

Have bought vw bits from this mob before and they have some nice looking studs that should do the job.

back to the adapter idea. That stub was the longest on the net, too short on the M8 side to even go through the sensor, literally by the length of the nut lol. ffs!

This aint OCD. One guy at work actually has it, nothing like the stero type. It actually quite annoying to people around and would be debilitating to the sufferer because it effect ever single little thing in their lives. Its more organization and patterns for suffers of ODC, voices telling them to check stuff blah blah.

Im just an automotive perfectionist. :D I couldn't care less outside the car world, Im very unorganized

With OCD it seem what the person can see bothers them but out of view they dont care. Far from what Im like lol
