yeah I have to admit the 9" housing looks thin as and its not even one piece but 3! The fact its multi piece allows parts to move under load.

Thats how most transmission failure happen too, the guts are flexing and moving under load and the bearing and gears dont like misalignment and that can cause gears to break and other failures.

A decent quality 3rd member with the large pinion support should see you right. lots of $$$$ though for the good stuff.

brandnew m&h dizzy going in the 202 turbo today just locking it up and fitting a brandnew taiwan module .looking at the vacum advance portion im starting to wonder if it might be firing the coil when the rotor is too far away from the cap posts causing our high rpm missfires its the only part of the dizzy that can move the cap post relative to coil firing and im really starting to think we have rotor phasing issues after adding advance made it missfire worse so not gonna lock the vacum advance with weld will leave the can holding the advance mechanism in its no vac spot and work on adjusting it till i have good rotor phasing from 10-40 degrees in a happy middle of the swing round the post.im gonna cut a dizzy cap and flash the timing light into the old dizzy before i pull it out.when i locked it i just set it where the screws could be taken in and out to mount the reluctor but im wondering if it isnt the best spot for rotor phasing guess il find out later on today

yeah all the reluctors i've done i did the locking so the bolt holes are visible, but i can't really recall where i put the mechanical advance when i locked it.... shouldn't be too hard to test, set the reluctor to holes visible, rotate the motor to TDC and make sure its on 10 deg, mark where the rotor is in relation to the cap plugs, then rotate 40 degrees and see which one its closer to .....

i've had this setup on 2 different 202's and revved them happily to 6500-7500 rpm with no missing.

dizzy is in but battery flat and wouldnt start but did make an interesting discovery and the reason it had high rpm miss fire the brandnew fuelmizer china coil that was meant to be for electronic ignition has a damn primary resistance of 3 ohms not the required 0.40-1.0 ohms massively weak spark with cold plugs on top no wonder she was spluttering and im guessing it probably didnt do the old ignition module any good things lol.pick a part tomorrow for an hec715 or 6

so it wouldnt start cause the chinese dizzy LOL gotta love the chinese wire colours were reversed from the stock dizzy or they wound the coil backwards or some shit LOL reversed polarity to the ignition module and away she goes LOL.ran down the road on the old dizzy and old coil that dies when it gets hot revved clean again so the high rpm missfire was weak spark from the gt40 coil outputting fark all spark explains a lot with changing fueling after idling and making adjustments plugs were fowling and the slight missfire was making it look leaner even though i was adding fuel.time to fit yet another balancer and set timing and remove the fan it chews brandnew balancers in minutes from gaining rpm too fast with a fan connected.heres hoping it has some boogy now off to buy a brandnew HEC715 or 716 coil and thats it whole ignition system is new

yeah I'd prefer to use an old blue motor coil over anything from china!

get a powerbond balancer, it shouldn't spin!
