Found some "very hard to get" parts.

front strut spring insulators and chrome/black commodore badges for VP only.

Looked everywhere for them, guess who has them, Holden does lol.

battery harness is complete, tensioner installed. A good dayco one.

new solenoid on the starter which makes it completely 100% overhauled.

knock sensor adapter done, thanks to Big G allowing me to use his shop lathe.

Thermostat installed, Mace 70mm plate awaiting for the TB to be machined up. Mace machine the plates on the angle they close at, just like factory. Top work!

Also got a lot of NOS parts from speedspares again, mmm NOS windscreen seals... 8-)

The rare spares harness ties just happen to fit the manifold, with some real effort lol, but it works. I got genuine ones too but all of them are meant for the engine bay inner guards not the manifold.

The ones from wurth dont fit.

NPC are making a new clutch from scratch. It will be based on a cushioned ceramic button type. Should give it great bite and still be forgiving enough being cushioned to drive in traffic without doing burnouts every time I take off like the vacationer did lol

And it will take a lot of abuse and tolerate heat too.

nearly 700 bucks isn't too bad

Stripped a spare bumper I had for a few years that came off a berlina. Good old paint stripper and pressure washer

very pleased that I found it was all original and no repairs bar the exhaust cutout repair I did on it.

Very little needs to be done on this one to make it ready for paint.

also managed to score a VP series 2 rear white bumper mould. It was really grubby and crusty yellow from sun damage.

Nothing a rag and thinners wont fix!

Progress.

Finished! just like a NOS item now.

picked up the last major lot of stuff from the platter. Also scored a NOS vss for 60 bucks. Less than half price when they were still available lol.

And could finally finish a lot of bits and pieces. Fresh genuine fasteners are hard to beat.

Also my clutch arrived :D

Those ceramic clutches work well but are very short lived. Had one in my Torana that was organic on the flywheel side and ceramic against the pressure plate, two years and the ceramic was gone along with half the pressure plate grooved out, organic side was still like new.
