Got a serious problem. I cannot connect to TP to the hardware and it is running like a piece or crap blowing black smoke like a train, I assume if is in limp home mode. This also happened yesterday, the first time I had started it since last week, but I checked the battery voltage and it was low so I assumed that was the problem. So charged the battery and fired it up this morning and the same. Blowing smoke, running rough and I can't connect The hardware to TP. I pulled the computer case apart and checked all the wires and they are still intact. Put it back together and plugged it back in, without the laptop hooked up and there was a blue light so I assume it is getting power. Any suggestions are appreciated. Cheers

Thanks, no mate. I got the NVRAM from here, do I just order a new one or is there a way of fixing the corruption. I'm not bothered either way I just want to get it fixed and in it when you consider the time people have spent on this it was all pretty cheap to start with. Cheers.

Just a .atter of re burning not replacing it. I've had mine do it a couple times for unknown reasons.
Will flash tool connect? Switch to bank B and see if TP will connect.

No flash tool won't connect, says device not found. Checked all the preferences re comm port etc and all seems correct. What do you mean 'switch to bank B' ? Thanks

There's a jumper you can remove yo go to the second bank on the chip. Switch to that and try to connect again.

Is that the Bin SW jumper? The jumper is on which the note says is low bank. so remove this jumper and move to high bank?

I left the ignition on and flattened the battery so can't test anything till tomorrow.

On another point If I had the burner would I just copy a working bin file to the NVRAM?

Cheers

Yep. remove jumper and try. if you still cant connect and engine running up to shit, chances are your nvram is corrupt.

yep, put nvram in burner, burn a working bin to it, put back on board and into 808.
