you cant write a 111 cal to a 112 nvram... you will have to load a 111 bin file first then load your 111 cal to it, or use the flashtool to update your cal to v112 to match the nvram.

Thanks Jayme. I finally was able to write the CAL after a few more attempts with the Flashtool, but in TP after uploading the bin to TP, the CAL write hasn't updated the settings which you have explained above. I will update the CAL to v112 using migrate OSE CAL File.

There is a procedure to migrate from 1.11 to 1.12 I've done it before. Might in the FAQ or the flawh tool thread.

Had a strange thing happen, the CAL file I saved from my original bin is the latest version by flash tool. Well it tells me that when I try to convert it. Yet when I write the saved CAL to the NVRAM the changes don't show in Tuner pro. Anyway I just opened the last saved tuner pro bin file before the NVRAM crapped itself and uploaded to the emulator and all the changes seem to be there. Is there any problem with this? Cheers

Tuner pro won't update the bin or cal file that is loaded from last time automatically you have to load it from a file you know is up to date or hit the download button once connected then the applied changes in tuner pro will update to what is on the nvram

Thanks Dazza, yes I understand that. It's just people mostly talk about saving and writing the CAL from the flashtool. Is there any problem with using the tune saved via TP to update the calibration. On rereading the forums TunerPro instructions I found that what TP calls a bin is not the true bin file, but actually the CAL file. I did save the CAL file after the NVRAM corrupted so I assume this is why it didn't save any changes.

Now looking back I didnt actually install the V111 bin as I stated earlier I only opened holden 202's straight six bin via TunerPro, so I assume I only opened and saved the V111 straight six tune.

I hope this makes sense. Cheers.

yea that's right it only pulls the cal not the bin. As far as I know the cal pulled by tuner pro and the flash tool should be the same just make sue tuner pro actually saves it as a cal not as a bin file I've noticed it does that some times

Yeah my TP saves it as a bin file. I don't think there is an option to save as a CAL file in TP, but you I assume you would just rename it .CAL

Be careful doing that as the file size I think Is larger than a normal cal file so might be some extra stuff in it then
