Don't worry about knock count. There's something about temp range to log knock. Max them out. Shouldn't be seeing any retard. Unless it's your soft cut.

could be as the limiter is at 6000.

right, raised limiter to 7000 and enabled spark cut, maxed out burst knock enable temps, the car is still on the dyno, will report back later today :D

tdracertd is on the money. this picture should explain it all.... its dropping your timing by 5.98 degrees exactly 150 rpm below your hard fuel cut threshold. exactly like it is programmed to do :)

I have my soft cut zeroed out. Rev limit runs straight into hard/fuel cut (808). Very unlikely that I will run into the limiter though, as all my torque is quite low in the rev range. If you have spark cut option, I see no need for a soft cut on a racecar.

Take the limiter right up past where you expect it to make power and then set it once you know where the power band is.

thats what we did, initial runs suggested the peak power would be just over 5200 but its come a long way since. I set the limter to 6000 when we hit the hard cut few times. I had not seen this happen in the logs before. But the last few I was controlling the throttle directly from the engine bay on the dyno as one combo didn't allow for a throttle cable and I held it a long longer than Big G did, I held it past peak power by few 100 rpm.

Yeah, you probably wouldn't notice the soft cut when he hit the hard cut fast and hard.

I see further back Big G has taken it up to 7000rpm so it shouldn't effect it on the next run :)

Probably wanna set it 500rpm past peak power anyway otherwise you need to be extremely accurate with your shift points, not that it's a major issue on a dirt track.

had a look at one of the dyno charts and before it even gets to 5800 the torque curve virtually fallen off the graph entirely, kinda pointless. Not going to make any more power by increasing thew soft limiter.

Looking at the torque cuve.

as the curve peaks and plateaus for a while, at around 5000-5250 it falls that hard and sharply it looses 80Nm in 550rpm lol. Looks like an elbow or cliff.

To me that shows there is something nqr.
