pack of 10 nuts....300-8364

pack of 8 bolts.....203-2802 These are toyota flywheel bolts, for generic metric bolts to suit.....673-1002 which has thread all the way and no shank like these flywheel bolts.

The other key different is the flywheel bolts are 200k psi where the generic are 180k psi. Either way both super strong over stock.

The nuts are the same metal as the 180k psi bolts, I do believe the stock nuts are typically class 8.8 but could be 10.9

Scored a NOS black VP steering wheel for 80 bucks and also from the same guy a pair of NOS speaker grilles. The left one in the VP S is cracked so it happens the left one from this set is the correct colour

That steering wheel would be worth a mint as its NOS but even more rare that fact its black. As far as I know this was vactioner only spec. But ill put in the red car as my wheel is a bit sad.

When the car is all finished I'm going to get a replacement front plate to make it look the part.

I did read the replacement plates have the slogan printed rather than embossed and the fonts aren't identical.

Ideally I would love to get my plate restored but having looked around on the net for ages it seems such a service is non existent in oz.

What I could do is perhaps talk to one of my screen printing/ road sign customers and re-vinyl the plate in the 3m reflective road sign vinyl and have the raised embossing screen printed. Should be doable with the printer screen set at the right height and correct squeegee pressure.

Ordered some upgrades from this mob.
http://www.thegearbox.org/T5.html

billet 3-4 keys, billet cluster bearing support plates for 2 gearboxes, bronze billet selector fork pads for 2 boxes worth, bronze shifter ball cup.

I visited trans gears and diff yesterday and boy they know their stuff. A lot of good advise and answered all my questions.

Thinks like being able to sleeve throwout bearing nose cone, acid tanking the case and general attention to detail. They carry a lot of T5 parts that are hard to get these days for the v6.

I asked them about trutracs and they reckon go for the kaaz diff. The guy I talked to reckons they are twice the diff as trutrac for stuff all difference in price.

I asked about solid spacers for the diff pinion, they said don't bother unless you are making up around 1000hp. If its a land cruiser, yes you must space them. He went and brought out a borg warner crush spacers and showed the difference compared to other diffs. The are only about 15mm long and about 5mm thick walls. Its virtually like a solid spacer already. Very much bigger than most other makes of diff. BW ftw!

Skip the reflective paint, anti-speed camera stealth mode

A lot of that is bogus, however a plate frame is available to purchase in the states where it has xenon flash tubes. When it detects a flash it flashes the tubes onto the plate over saturating it with light. To the speed camera the plate just appears white.

problem is a lot of speed cameras these days don't flash. A better idea is a plate cover that uses LCD film to block vision based on known camera locations on GPS coordinates. Same as that electronic tinted glass or a welding mask.

Of course it couldn't be that simple lol, still easier to just paint it white and do the letters
