Hi guys, im trying to sort out some issues with a VX L67 into a gemini and i would like any log of a stock motor just to compare to what i am seeing, as i am not sure what i should and shouldn't be seeing.
reason i ask is the engine in question is running however its way lean at idle, even with 65psi in the fuel rail its still 17-19 AFR's but it does go to normal levels when revved, its very odd.
i am running VX L67 enhanced bin, and this worked perfectly fine in the donor car, however since putting it into the gemini without BCM and such its now not working real well.
i've attached the log i got, i haven't setup the wideband into the data stream yet, but the narrowband sensors clearly show what im seeing on the widenband!
any input welcomed.

here's a bog stock car log apart from 10 Psi pulley! (I just zipped it up as it was a fairly big)
Doesn't sound right for just removing BCM, the maf isn't dirty or possibly tuned when it was dirty & now clean?

Re: stock VX L67 log wanted please
maf has been cleaned and didn't make a difference ....
engine is bog stock, as it came from VX other than exhaust to suit the gemini. tune was put in the VX with vats off and fan setting changed that was all, tested it in the VX with no key head and it worked perfectly, now in the gemini its not, so theres got to be something either related to the bcm gone or something else we've missed or done wrong.

does it have extractors now?
I noticed when installing extractors on a stock engine with stock tune they go very lean at idle speeds, 17-19 afr like you said.

yep custom extractors to suit the conversion and i think its 2.5 inch pipe with one muffler
mind you the 17-19 was after screwing the fuel pressure up to 65psi! it wont idle at all without throttle .... so something is certainly not right.

interesting, vacuum leak perhaps? what about egr?
mine ran fine up to 20 afr haha, just not as powerful with slight miss here and there at idle.

I think this is the first data log I ever took of our VX L67. Should be a completely stock engine with HSV tune (unknown to me at the time) and iridium plugs (gapped 1.5mm).

Re: stock VX L67 log wanted please
yeah we checked the maf, its got the arrow pointing towards the TB ....kojab wrote:I know its a silly question. Maf installed in the wrong direction?
i've compared alot of sensors to logs posted and most things look right, ie. same rpm, maf hz and cyl air numbers and g/s etc at the same points.
the only thing possibly is jayme said the o2's were pulsing, this was with the ignition on and engine not running..... not sure if thats normal or not ...
i did also notice this motor has a fair bit less timing at idle, but if anything i would say less timing would make it richer .....
im going to try a bog stock original with just vats removed and see how that goes, and check a few bits and pieces and see what comes from it.

Have you tried setting idle to open loop so the O2 sensors don't effect idle?
How far down the pipesare the O2 sensors? I've heard people say that if they are a long way from the engine it can effect O2 readings.
