Clean up Australia Day 2016 - car removal from dam

Post by Gareth »

So me and some guys from our local car club got together this morning and dragged these out of the water, thats an XF ute, VE commodore sedan and half a GTO coupe....
Yes there are plenty of other cars in there (that we can see) but they will have to wait for next time. There is an EF falcon floating on it's end out in the middle, I assume that it's got an empty lpg tank in the boot...

Two are yet to be identified, one has been and is stolen... After they have been identified and the police clear them, then its up to the owner/ insurance company as to where they go..

Yep, pathetic.

My little bro in law had his VC stolen, was found at a park partially burn out, fortunately the fire didn't take hold and only the engine bay was partially burnt as the fire had started at the carby.

Scumbags!

Great effort from you blokes to go and recover em, can't have been the easiest job in the world.

Good work doing that for the greater good. Good to see there are people who still care out there!
