The reed valve on top needs a new gasket its blown out. its a wierd shape and is 0.3mm thick - basically 'shim steel'
anyone know where i might be able to get a gasket of a similar type OR shim steel about 200 x 100 in size so i can make my own
i doubt whether a paper one would cut it to be honest.
will put up a pic in the meantime.
...so my Air Compressor needs a gasket

Re: ...so my Air Compressor needs a gasket
tried a paper one with some gasket sealer. bloody thing works like a treat.
i ran it for a good couple of minutes under zero load
so it could build up heat and basically 'seal'
then found it was making pressure even with the tank drain wide open!
so closed that and for the first time in probably however long years it got up to pressure, and, the pressure valve SHUT IT OFF
oh i also found this too --> http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-INDUSTRI ... 1209164204
thats the pump.
one snag - one of the head bolts - the thread in the case where the pistons run is shat, but, lucky it comes thru so got a nut on it so it sealed up good
win

vlad --> i think its a generic kinda mass produced pump TBH there seems to be a few variations on the theme, but, essentially one and same core/device.
yes HQ will go check after dinner and see if it still works. and look for your bit as well.

Re: ...so my Air Compressor needs a gasket
so it still works. hard to believe.
HQ i cant find that bit still looking
i am off work sick with the dizzies so keeping a low profile at the moment. feel like shit.
i also rigged up on the weekend a tee piece from my 2.5HP compressor (belt and direct) so can now provide 35 psi all day every day to the HVLP spray gun now. very happy. even with good old water trap in the way then pressure at the gun is 35psi constant.
