noice!

here is my first one, rather a remake of the power loosing otr. Cut the adapter and plastic welded it upside down.

On Big G's VH I tested this, engine does not care if you use that bellow or not. In fact I bent it almost 90o during a run and another run I pushed it tight together and straight to make it smooth inside and noticed nothing conclusive.

Yep, that would work much better than OTR. One thing that always worried me was water, it gets very wet here sometimes but I haven't every hydrauliced the engine although once I checked and the filter was wet.

I still have the super 6 somewhere in the garage but I don't know if I can bring myself to sell it to some unsuspecting sucker.....

I won't argue if you have dyno results to prove. But to me all you have to do is look at that thing and it makes me feel sickly. ;)

yeah I was surprised too, not that I was testing the specifically, was interesting since I was watching the dyno screen and bending the elbow over and it just kept on going like nothing was going on.

It will probably gain power slightly when stretched out lol, as that was the trend the dyno was showing, longer pipe, more power for this engine combo.

Yeh, on the subarus I work on, second thing we do is get rid of a piece just like that, they call it sfb (short fat bit lol) along with changing the turbo inlet pipe. I don't think that a smooth constant diameter elbow would flow any worse, and looks alone would be reason enough for me to want to change it. :)

Im going to change mine at the airbox for the sake of it but the one at the TB I will leave as it is straight and won't effect smoothness of the flow.

That one needs to move anyway as the engine twists in place.

the stock air box look was more a giggle thing for me.. i hate pod filters.. at the track the headlight comes out and no box at all  on the street this car is an animal with the box. airtemp is cooler with the box over a pod so the box stays and i get lots of what the its got an airbox comments when people look so i dont mind. i will have to test if it looses any power when i get the dyno back up and running. damn moving house... it sure dont feel down on power tho it comes on boost from 1800 and is manual frys the rear tyres in 4th with ease.

I would think total airflow would have an influence on it.
