Don't use paint stripper. It will bugger the primer and e coat and is a cunt to work with. Only good for stripping chassis and engine parts and plastic bumpers of paint. Also very toxic and a carbon respirator is needed.

Wow stripping paint like that in fiddly areas looks like hard work :( Whats the reason for the holes being filled on the guards?

A few years ago I got sick of the gas rental (2 bottles, MIG and TIG and home hobby use) so went with this mob .. http://www.power10gases.com.au/
No affiliation with them but so far have enjoyed the lack of yearly rents arriving!

I'm the same, I have 4 bottles, I have an argoshield, an argon, oxy and acetylene. Im thinking of giving back the oxy and acetylene when they run out and buying a MAPP gas welding and cutting kit. The disposable bottles aren't that expensive. I'm happy to pay though for the convenience of having these tools at my fingertips. Always looking for a cheaper alternative.

No oxy set here coz of the rental, have made do with other tools though. Plasma cutter, small blow torch for stubborn bolts, BBQ bottle and big torch for really stuck stuff or bending and tig for brazing if needed.
