No the case is very strong on t5, upward of 1000hp is supported with good gear set. The case design is really good solid one piece for all that retains the guts and its die cast of quality alloy. Most case related failures are result of no being one piece like a lot of boxes have an intermediate plate supporting the shafts and these plates often shift under high load resulting in loss of mesh tolerance and bearing damage from moving around. Lucky for bw and tremetic their cases are well designed.

When you think about it though, in a race application, that's not so bad. To hold big power and stay manual, the only other option is a T56. T56 conversion would run close to 5k and is a MASSIVE weight penalty.

exactly and there is no off the shelf conversion kit for the v6 as far as my research so I expect the costs and "cunt of a job" factor to be high.

Malwood does one. Its done with a bellhousing adapter

can also get a 10.5" flywheel and clutch from NPC if memory serves

I wouldn't touch malwood if someone paid me. The guys there are cunts to put it bluntly and a rip off.

For conversion stuff I always sent my business with dellow conversions.

I asked Robin at Perfourmance for some updated pricing today on these. $4450 Ex for 1-4 and $5310 Ex for 1-5. He did try to sell me a Hollinger whilst we were talking :)
