Re: my ride vt ecotec
yeah thats pretty big, no wonder it has no vaccum at idle
will probably want to idle a fair bit richer than 14.7 too!
what is your idle speed set to ?

No matter what the question is, the answer is always more horsepower!

Re: my ride vt ecotec
im thinking too big as the heads will never flow for a cam that big. But being turbo the rules might be different?

Re: my ride vt ecotec
yeah might be wasted in the top end if everything can't keep up, but will certainly improve the mid range!
question is, what size converter do you have in it ?

yeah shes pretty big and i thought it would be the struggle of my idle issue ill work on the idle afr and see if i can richen it up a bit and see if it helps the heads have been ported and had chrome turbo valve seats installed and 2mm bigger inlet valves put in it and 30 thou lager exhaust vales in it in stainless biggest i could squeeze in there without being to close together
and she been converted to manual

Re: my ride vt ecotec
Manual nice. I've tuned a few V8's with big SFT cams similair specs to this but LSA's around 108 degree's. They do like idle AFR's around 14 or leaner which is different to most sizeable hydraulic type cams. But on these solids I've done they loved them leaner. But looking at the plugs hey were spot on. I think it's due to the overlap they need them leaner to minimise the raw fuel ut the exhaust and save on plug life.
