Re: my ride vt ecotec
yeah its all in the start and gear changes, my gemini did 12.78 at 106mph, so that shows you've certainly got the HP to do big MPH you just need to get it moving quicker at the start!
No matter what the question is, the answer is always more horsepower!

Is it only track car ? Spool is pia on the street,at be better with tru trac or Kaazgor the street. Strange about the clutch, normally ok on street then slip with extra grip at the track ! Be good to get it in
The 12's, what's your drivability like ?

yeah it is a street car i would prefer a lsd but i want to go to a t56 later on so ill need a diff change then so the mini spool would just be a temporary option for now to help it hook up drivability seems to be good getting idle to work is proving to be a bit of a struggle but apart from that its fine well besides the clutch and i thought it would slip at the track to but it held up for some reason maby being driven a bit different helped it it is only a stock item so im not expecting to much out of it

yeah stock sort of clutch, once they slip and burn thats it...gone. It will just keep slipping all the time from that point.
There is lots of different materials and design for the clutch. Kelvar puck disk would be good track and street and last a while. Don't know anyone who does them, popular option is ceramic. they are harsh but perform like a champ, also wear pretty quick depending on how you drive. Quick changes and firm take off will last, granny driving will kill a ceramic clutch from allowing the surfaces to slip too much wearing them to nothing.

you might find if you can get more traction then you'll start finding the limit of the clutch
what issues are you having getting it to idle ?

Re: my ride vt ecotec
yeah im not to sure on what sort of clutch setup id like to go a cushion button but there so dam expensive
ive already found the limit of the stock clutch lol anything over 10psi n its toast or if the ambient temp comes down same deal the clutch just fries
the idle stability is the issue it just wants to stall from time to time coming down of rpm or of a first start but after you hold the throttle open for a bit and allow it to slowly return to an idle its mostly fine you sort of have to drive it like a carby car its a bit of a pain specially if theres traffic

For a decent clutch you have to pay the big bucks unfortunately.
