My Delcoed Rides
Re: My Delcoed Rides
I am not sure how much of this is just marketing and how much is related to to injectors. This video shows some of the processes ID uses. https://youtu.be/_UZ6wYTjUpo

That's a great vid. It helps to justify the premium price you pay for ID's

yeah i agree, alot of time goes into it!
No matter what the question is, the answer is always more horsepower!

Excellent video indeed
I also watched the following one about there fuel filters, very interesting to hear that almost all of the failures they see are due to contamination!
(I think I should be changing fuel filters more often!)

Re: My Delcoed Rides
its funny you say that, the injectors i have don't have a filter basket in the top and they recommend a 40 micron or finer filter before the rail!
i'd be interested to see what mine flow with a basket in them!

That is a great filter setup! I dont know if I want to know the price though.
A basic paper element EFI filter is generally better than 20 microns, but flow/pressure drop becomes a problem when pushing lots of fuel through it!

Re: My Delcoed Rides
i have a big oil filter type filter in the boot, but i am not sure on its micron rating. having said that i have never had any build up in the baskets of the dekas.

Re: My Delcoed Rides
yep that's why ID are where they are, quality control everywhere and great testing. I obviously dont go as far as that, but hell of alot better than an average flow bench, standard flow tests are done high and low pulse widths so some matching is there.

I'm digging on the Ute! What year is it?Holden202T wrote:ok first my daily driver. Its an LH Torana with a mildy worked 202, fuel injected with a delco conversion. VP V8/VL Turbo brakes front, vn rear discs, borg warner housing cut down to suit the Torana, T700 with a stage 2 shift kit and B&M shifter.
Commodore 16 inch alloys!
please excuse the mess in this next photo, it was just after i got the delco on there.
shes been dynoed at 140hp at the wheels prior to the delco going on.
In the not too distant future i will be pulling this motor out and slotting in an ecotec motor.
now one of my projects is an FB Ute which has a VR V6, T700, borgy diff, 300mm twin piston front brakes and vn rears, its got the VR steering column in it, aswell as the complete VR wiring loom, its also got VR seats and B&M shifter. Very much a work in progress but its at a driveable stage so its getting there!
i also have a TG Gemini which will possibly be getting a delco one day ... at the moment its got a 202 in it with a 450 holley, 2 speed glide, 31 spline full spool borgy and vt front discs .... this one is being setup for the strip ...
i also have an eaton m90 for it one day down the track!!
