The1's Daily
Re: The1's Daily
this is interesting as i found the opposite loved more timing over the whole spectrum however i cant speak of n/a so might have something to do with the lack of compression/forced induction perhaps it is picking up some false knock as mentioned by vlad??
The answer is always... boost!

v6 and false knock is synonymous lol
I'm the director of VSH (Vlad's Spec Holden), because HSV were doing it ass about.
Re: The1's Daily
lol yep i hear that it sure is its tough though with all the different opinions around e85 from my experience its great loves timing and compression and smells fantastic
The answer is always... boost!
Re: The1's Daily
Yep that's the next test and yeh smell is sweet lol also peak redline injector duty cycle went up 7% with these 40lb injvlad01 wrote:Try reducing the timing down overall by 4-5o which is what dynosim is suggesting.

My vp injectors when from 69% ish to bang on 100% at max rpm lol

Re: The1's Daily
Yeh they would stock injectors are what about 85% DC and being 7% of 40LB is what 3.5lb or so, so stock wouldn't be enough. 26lb ls1 injectors would minimum

Re: The1's Daily
yeah i think your problem is going to be that you don't have enough comp to get the fuel to knock so you'll just go over the hump and start heading down the hill of power .....
this is why i've always said e85 really needs to be tested in a motor that is built with the compression to suit it, otherwise its just wasting a lot of its benefits!
probably as well, being 15 degree ambient your not really in the weather to get alot of benefits of cooling the inlet charge!
get your L67 in there and then re-test

No matter what the question is, the answer is always more horsepower!
