I can remember punching on with my sister when she used to pick up the phone deliberately at the other end of the house, booting my connection (probably to something I shouldn't have been looking at... ;) )

I remember being the first kid on the block with a 1 gig hard drive  My current phone is 32...

Anyone remember that site 'rotten.com'?... One of my old favorites

first multiplayer experience was with the 28.8k modem... having to tell your mate, hey hang up then pick up the next call with your modem.. then tell the game to use your modem to directly call your mates number for 2 player gaming! woohoo

and yeah.... the rage when your parents picked up the damn phone in the middle of a game

It was only in 2006 when I was still on 31.2k as that was the best technology available in my area so I made my own broadband infrastructure by setting up permanent long range wifi links to people I knew few ks up closer to the exchange as the crows fly. went straight to 1.5Mbit from 31.2k. Holy shit! what a jump and then to 10mbit adsl2 by 2010 and now up to 25mbit on nbn wireless and was included on a experimental trial of 50/20 last year which has ended a little while ago.

Also I've never heard of a 300 baud modem. Gee you guys must be old
How old are you then? I wouldn't call most of us old on the forum.

I would say the average age here is mid 30s
