trouble getting vy/vx pcm to connect on bench

Holden/Delco Tuning. ALDL, OBD 1.5. Circa 1989 to 2004.

trouble getting vy/vx pcm to connect on bench

ive made up a loom for running a vx ecu on bench and triple checked the wiring. all i can get it to send back is Rx'd Frame = 20, 55, 8B. does anyone have any ideas.

Post up details of what pins you are using and how you have it wired up an we may be able to help a little more.

I'll post some pictures tomorrow of how it's set-up and wired and maybe tidy it up a bit. It's a bit just thrown together but from what I can gather it should be wired correctly. I've had the vx ecu plugged into my vy and was able to connect to it so I think the ecu is alright.

It's just a usb to aldl adapter and ose enhanced flash tool. Ive been able to connect to the ecu when it was in the car tho.

have you chosen the option for a bench pcm as the bcm wont be answering?

Yea I've tryed on bench and using the settings from the thread about how to set up an on bench ecu.

Yea that's the thread which I used to wire it so I can't figure out why it's not working.
