hi guys is anyone able to help me out with a bin file I'm trying to read, it looks to be a custom memcal for a 5litre that is running in an old 808 from a vp. ive taken a read from the memcal set to 27c128 but cant work out if I have a good read and cant open it with any xdf. I'm mainly after ve table and injector flow.
thanks for any help

Re: memcal
Whatever that thing is in place of the eprom, setting your burner to 27C128 isn't going to cut it.
If they've gone to the trouble of fitting something out of a space shuttle fair chance it's not going to be an old VN code base. If it is in a VR type code then fit it to a ECU and let flash tool read it out then run it through the memcal ID tool. There's a chance that thing could be scrambling the code anyway.

Re: memcal
I thought the '808 EPROM was a 27C256 type. You would be safest to assume this or you may be missing half the bin.

Re: memcal
VN was 27C128 but this thing definetely isn't GM issued. There's been talk on here before about another thing under the EPROM to scramble the code when a reader tries to read from it. But this looks even more that again. Wonder if it's a fancy ass FRAM set up? There was a user on here not long ago looking into them.

Re: memcal
Definitely a weird one never seen one like it , I've tried different ways to read the bin file sizes etc but I only get blank reads unless it's set to 27c128.
