I finally decided on the material to use for fuel lines and then on top of that i even got it done :P

so up until now i have just had the pressure and return lines running from the boot up the inside of the cabin floor to a hole in the firewall and out to the motor, so i thought i should finally get my shit together and get some metal lines run under the car and all the ends done etc.

so firstly i started with some nice through the floor speedflow fittings.

so with it under the car then i had to make up some alloy pipe to suit the contours of the floor and up in the diff tunnel etc and it also extends up into the engine bay near the passenger side shock tower (bottom left end of pic) - all pipe and fittings are 3/8 inch.
P1060541.jpg
so with that done and installed i made some flexible hoses to bridge the gap, the one with the red on the fittings is 3/8 inch and is the high pressure line and the all blue one is 5/16 and its the return line.
P1060542.jpg
both lines are run under the floor on the outside of the chassis rail and hopefully out of the way of any knocks...
P1060543.jpg
all that was left to do was cut the fuel lines to length and put the fittings on the end to meet up with the alloy pipe on the shock tower.
P1060545.jpg
very happy with the end result and the speedflow fittings in the bay mean shes pretty easy to disconnect if the engine needs to come out etc and also the alloy pipe minimises the rubber hose in the system which has to be a good thing!!

Nice nice of gear looks like a look of work. What to come run my fuel lines? Nice work on the rollcage too. can see a bit more rust to be treated yet.

keep the good work up

lol yeah, $140 worth of fittings for that fuel line change!! i love the look of the speedflow stuff, hate the price though!

got the scoop all sussed out and bolted on today .... i ended up cutting about 4 inchs off the end of it, mainly because it would hit on the wipers when i open the bonnet, but also i did want it a bit shorter so it wasn't the full length of the bonnet!! also now the rear most screws are in the rear seam join bit whereas before they would have been inside the inner support section.

i'm happy with the end result, it isn't too high for the gemini compared to the A9X option i was looking at and it works well with approx 1 inch between the inlet manifold / linkages and the scoop.

now i just need to fill some of the dodgy bits in the casting and get some primer / paint on it!

trying to save money for some of the other big dollar items i need so in the mean time i have been doing some stuff i can do without spending money, so this arvo i started attacking the rust in the boot...
P1060782.jpg
the main support in the boot is pretty stuffed, alot of it has rust holes and the bottom is all stuffed too, im thinking i'll have to make a new part of it, no big deal, just more work! doesn't help that some numptie filled half of it with bog rather than fixing the issue properly in the first place!
P1060784.jpg
the spare wheel section was half rusted and also i don't need it so i'll just be putting a flat panel in its place!
